Well, it didn't go as planned. I heard her crying and came out to see blood dripping from a gaping hole in her forehead, down into her eyes. I quickly removed the helmet, tried to comfort the neighbor girls who beat me out there, and applied pressure.
We rushed to the ER (thank heaven's I knew where it was) where she received five stitches in her forehead and two in her cheek. The forehead wound was too big for glue or anything like that. They had to pull the canyon back together. I couldn't bring myself to take a picture of the forehead uncovered, before the stitches. It was a little traumatic. And the people in the ER waiting room who had horrified looks on their faces when they saw it uncovered didn't help.
As soon as we got home she asked if she could go outside and play.

The picture of the hill doesn't make it look steep, but it is.
Poor poor Ivy! It is good to hear that she bounced back and was ready to go out and play again.
OUCH! That looks like it hurts. It's amazing how fast kids bounce back though. Hope you are doing well and liking it there--or maybe you changed your mind and wished you were back in little ol' Rexburg!
