It could have been worse . . .

I thought that she had outgrown it. I thought that somehow miraculously despite her overly inquisitive nature and he knack for trouble that we had dodged a bullet. Unlike so many other little girls I know, Ivy never cut her own hair. I was very anal about letting her use scissors. I always had to be present. She could never use "grown up" scissors.
The other day I set out a little nail kit Teri had loaned me for the trip. I was heading her way and thought I would return it. Unfortunately I walked out the door without it. Ivy found it, extracted the itty bitty scissors and proceeded to cut her hair.

I wish I had taken pictures of the beautiful golden strawberry locks strewn across the living room. It was much more dramatic. Thank heavens she only cut long bangs. I know it could have been much worse. (They don't always look this good)

I am the same way with Kate, she has not cut her hair yet, but I figure it's a matter a time. I am so worried she is going to really hack up her hair. I hope she doesn't. I don't know how I will react, if I will say oh knew that was coming or oh man you have got to be kidding me and get really mad. We will see, We will see. Ivy doesn't look so bad, I wouldn't worry, it should grow back quick!

I have yet to have had a child cut their own hair (knock on wood). And Ivy is so cute, it makes no difference what hair-do she is styling...I know, I know, I am not the one trying to do her hair everyday. Anywho, hope you are enjoying Colorado. You need to post some pictures!
